ADX snaps 2-session losing streak

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed losses on Sunday, reversing the upward trend it maintained for two successive sessions.

The main index slid 0.4% or 17.96 points to reach 4,497.21 points.

The energy sector fell 3.5% as TAQA and Dana Gas went down 3.7% and 3.4% respectively. The banks sector decreased 0.5% after National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) lost 0.54%.

On the flipside, the real estate sector added 0.07% as Aldar Properties gained 0.37%.

The market saw trading of 35.17 million shares on Sunday, compared to 71.46 million shares last Thursday. Turnover stood at AED 43.55 million, compared to AED 145.4 million.

Etisalat was the value leader after generating AED 11.9 million from the exchange of 597,690 shares.
