Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Monday’s trading with a fall of 0.11% or 4.99 points to the level of 1,192.22 points, extending losses for the third session in a row.
Trading volume reached 62.89 million shares exchanged through 1,109 transactions, making a turnover of AED 110.11 million.
The industrial sector was the worst performer after falling by 0.46%, pressured by a 3.59% drop in Galfar Engineering.
The banks sector declined 0.36% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and First Gulf Bank shrank 0.92% and 0.42%.
On the flipside, the real estate sector grew 0.38% as Aldar leapt 0.73%. The stock made the highest activity with a trading volume of 9.20 million shares exchanged at AED 25.22 million.
The Consumer Staples sector topped the green list by adding 2.97% as International Fish Farming Holding and Agthia grew by 3.50% and 3.44% respectively.
The energy sector rose 0.38% due to an increase of 1.92% in Taqa.
