Mubasher: A broader selling wave on GCC stock markets is forecast to be ignited on Wednesday as the 26-28 September OPEC meeting in Algeria is anticipated to end in failure, analysts told Mubasher.
Market analysts and Mohamed Al-'Azmi said traders will likely resort to sell-offs and liquidation due to rising news reports on OPEC meeting's dead end, weaker liquidity levels and lack of positive data, namely after oil prices neared $45 per barrel yesterday.
GCC markets are expected to extend the volatile performance on Wednesday amid oil and non-oil pressures, including economic slowdown and the adoption of austerity measures, said economic analyst Hamoud Al-Shmri,
