Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note, as the market cap retreated by EGP 1.4 billion.

The benchmark index EGX30 lost 0.52% or 41 points and reached the level of 7,907.9 points, while EGX70 rose 0.43% to 348.79 points.

The broader index EGX100 edged up 0.03% to 782.2 points, while the equal-weighted index EGX50 decreased 0.45%, closing at 1,314.1 points.

CIB went down 1.4% and closed at EGP 48.3, after 18.77 million shares were traded.

Market capital declined EGP 1.4 billion, closing the session at EGP 404.05 billion.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 38.7 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 26.3 million and EGP 12.4 million respectively.

Total turnover reached EGP 392.1 million, with a traded volume of 120 million shares.

A total of 43 stocks saw a rise today, while 74 declined and another 43 remained unchanged.

Misr Oils was the session’s biggest loser and dropped 9.9%, while El Nasr Clothing led today’s gainers and surged 8%.
