Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a negative performance on Thursday.

The main index slid 0.11% or 5.97 points to reach 5,609.79 points.

The industrial sector was the only loser with a 0.13% decline, weighed down by Al Hassan Engineering and Galfar Engineering and Contracting which went down 2.94% and 2.78% respectively

On the other hand, the services sector added 0.09% after Sembcorp Salalah Power rose 3.46%. Meanwhile, Renaissance Services led losers with a 4.55% decline.

The financial sector grew 0.05% as HSBC Oman topped gainers with a 4.95% rise.

Trading volume reached 17.3 million shares on Thursday, compared to 10.51 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover stood at OMR 2.53 million, compared to OMR 2.86 million.
