Mubasher: Boeing announced that Qatar Airways has made a purchase order for 100 airplanes in a deal that is valued at $18.6 billion, according to the company’s statement.

The requested planes include 30 787-9 Dreamliners and 10 777-300ERs valued at $11.7 billion, the deal also includes an option to buy 60 737 MAX 8 which will raise the deal by an extra $6.9 billion.

In February, Qatar Airways’ CEO Akbar Al Baker said that the airliner has achieved net profits of around $103 million in 2015, predicting achieving record breaking earning this year, mainly due to low oil prices.
