Dubai – Mubasher: Etisalat Egypt studies the different available financing alternatives to pay the fees of acquiring the 4G license, said Hazem Metwally, CEO.

The company studies the probability of either obtaining a loan from local lender or raising its capital, added CEO in exclusive statement to Mubasher.

Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority has granted Etisalat one month as a grace period to pay the license fees.

Elaborated, the company’s CEO ruled out floating a stake of Etisalat Egypt on the Egyptian Exchange currently due to the country’s unstable economic conditions.

Earlier, Vodafone Egypt and Etisalat signed deals with the country’s telecom regulator to acquire 4G licenses, joining Orange Egypt and Telecom Egypt.
