Doha – Mubasher: Al Khaleej Takaful Group reported on Thursday a rise of 90.95% in its profit for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2016 to QAR 3.8 million ($1.04 million), compared to QAR 1.99 million ($546,000) for Q3-15.

Net profit for the first nine months of 2016 reached QAR 18.6 million, 42% down from QAR 32.2 million for the same period of 2015.

Earnings per share amounted to QAR 0.73 for the nine-month period, versus QAR 1.26 for the same period of 2015, according to a bourse filing.

The company earlier posted a net profit of QAR 14.84 million for the first half of 2016, 50.9% down from QAR 30.21 million for H1-15.
