Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Sharjah National Hotels saw an overall improvement of 42% in the third quarter of 2016, compared with the third-quarter growth in 2015, according to WAM news agency.

The company’s positive growth is mainly attributed to the recent introduction of group purchasing initiatives.

“Throughout the third-quarter, the majority of guests staying at Hotel Holiday International, Marbella Resort, and The Oceanic Hotel were travelling from across the UAE and GCC,” according to the company’s acting CEO Ian Phillips.

Sharjah National Hotels are expecting strong growth in fourth-quarter profits, WAM reported.

 A “large” number of bookings from the Sharjah Government, tour operators, exhibitions and events were confirmed. In addition, there are indications of advanced bookings from Central and Eastern Europe markets that are much stronger than 2015 during the same period.
