Cairo – Mubasher: Abu Qir Fertilizers reported an 18.8% profit decrease during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2016/17, according to a Monday's bourse filing.

The company earned EGP 240.02 million from July to September, compared with EGP 295.63 million for the prior-year period.

Q1 sales fell 7.55% year-over-year to EGP 876.86 million from EGP 948.43 million.

The company's fiscal year annually starts on the first of July.
