Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index closed Monday’s trading with a fall of 0.27% or 27.68 points to the level of 10,406.27 points.

The fall was due to the decline in some blue chips as Industries Qatar, Ezdan, Doha Bank and QNB declined by 2.23%, 0.88%, 0.67% and 0.19% respectively.

Trading volume increased to 6.4 million shares from 5.1 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also rose to QAR 241.25 million from QAR 173.9 million.

Five sectors closed in red, topped by the industrial sector with a fall of 0.68%, dragged by a 2.3% decrease in Gulf International Services.

On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector grew by 0.29% and the transportation sector rose 0.03%.
