Mubasher: Investors in Gulf markets are likely to purchase small- and mid-cap stocks, amid the rise of Saudi equities for the fourth successive session following the $17.5 billion global bond sale, analysts told Mubasher.

The GCC exchanges are likely to continue their sideways-to-bullish trend on Tuesday, backed by the rise of global stocks.

Investors tended to buy medium-sized stocks so blue chips saw selling pressures on Monday, leading some markets to fall, capital market analyst Nawaf Al-Ajmi said.

Recovery of Saudi bourse positively affected investors’ sentiment and pushed them to make use of some transactions, the analyst explained.

Most local portfolio investors are purchasing Gulf stocks which reached attractive price levels, despite anxiety over the announcement of third-quarter financials, Al-Ajmi noted.
