QSE closes in red on industrial, real estate stocks

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s session falling by 0.02% or 2.08 points to the level of 10,401.19 points.

Trading volume decreased 49% to 3.27 million shares from 6.41 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also shrank 42.5% to QAR 138.64 million from QAR 241.26 million.

The consumer goods and services sector dropped 0.45%, the transportation sector shrank 0.35%, the industrial sector declined 0.32%.

The real estate sector fell 0.23% due to the decrease in United Development, Mazaya Qatar and Ezdan by 1%, 0.29% and 0.18% respectively.

On the other hand, the insurance, banking and telecom sectors rose by 0.9%, 0.18% and 0.05% respectively.

Ezdan was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 641,570 shares, while QNB made the highest liquidity of QAR 32.46 million.
