Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday’s trading in red as its benchmark index declined by 0.4% or 41.50 points to the level of 10,362.69 points.
Trading volume increased by 92.7% to 9.29 million shares from 3.27 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also rose 34.2% to QAR 186.07 million from QAR 138.64 million.
The real estate sector shrank 1.12% as Ezdan declined 1.31%, the industrial sector slid 0.58% due to a 3.62% fall in Industries Qatar.
The banking sector closed 0.13% down as Islamic Holding and Qatar First Bank fell by 2.14% and 0.86% respectively.
On the other hand, the insurance sector rose 0.73% and the telecom sector was flat.
Qatari Investors led the green list by adding 9.9%, while Medicare Group topped decliners with a fall of 4.55%.
Vodafone Qatar was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 2.45 million shares, while Qatari Investors made the highest liquidity of QAR 32.62 million.
