Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bullish performance on Thursday.

The main index rose 0.63% or 26.7 points to reach 4,292.5 points.

Trading volume reached 33.73 million shares on Thursday, compared to 44.57 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover stood at AED 171.63 million, compared to AED 73.24 million.

The energy sector topped gainers after adding 2.6%, backed by TAQA which went up 5.08%. The banks sector also advanced 1.86% after First Gulf Bank (FGB) gained 3.23%.

On the other hand, the telecom sector topped losers with a 1.3% decline, weighed down by Etisalat which retreated 1.3%.

The insurance and investment sectors decreased 0.71% and 0.51% respectively.

Al Khazna Insurance was the worst performer after falling 7.69% to AED 0.36, generating AED 22,240 from the exchange of 61,780 shares.

First Gulf Bank (FGB) was the most active stock after generating AED 91.83 million from the exchange of 8.28 million shares.
