Doha - Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) lost 0.64% or 67.28 points this week, and closed at the level of 10,438 points.

The Qatari bourse’s market cap decreased by 0.71% or QAR 3.98  million and reached QAR 558.57 million ($153.25 million), compared to QAR 562.55 million ($154.34 million) in last week.

Traded values increased 7.7% to QAR 970.70 million from QAR 901.81 million in the previous week, while total traded volumes went up by 28.3% to 29.17 million shares compared to 22.71 million shares.

The Majority of the market sectors declined this week, led by real estate which dropped 2.92%, followed by consumer goods and services which lost 2.42%, transport 1.31%, telecom 0.2%, industrials 0.03%, and finally insurance which slipped 0.02%.

On the other hand, banks and financial services went up this week by 0.13% compared to its level last week.

As for the sectors performance, 15 stocks went up led by Qatari Investors Group with 19.85%, while 17 stocks declined led by Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution which fell 9.52%, while two other stocks remained unchanged.
