Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse's performance retreated during the week, on the back of the commercial bank and service sectors.
The main index shed 0.32% or 3.69 points, to close at the level of 1,148.16 points this week.
The banks sector dominated BHB 646,212 through trading 4.695 million shares, where National Bank of Bahrain acquired 18.54% of the market's liquidity in the week by about BHB 309,154.
The service sector decreased 1.24%, weighted by Bahrain Telecommunications (Batelco) which fell 2.03%.
The banks sector lost 1.2%, affected by Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) and Khaleeji Commercial Bank (Al Khaliji) which levelled down 3.39% and 1.55%, respectively.
On the other hand, the industry sector led the best performers rising 4.5%, backed by Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) which added 4.73%.
Seef Properties topped traded value by about BHB 323,311 to acquire 19.4% of the total traded shares in a week.
Total traded volume reached 7.75 million at a value of BHD 1.667 million, through 182 transactions.
