Cairo – Mubasher: Misr Insurance Holding Company registered an increase in its standalone profits and revenues by 19.6% and 29.8% respectively during the fiscal year 2015/16, said the Ministry of Public Business Sector in a statement on Monday.

Both profits and revenues thus stood at EGP 744.7 and EGP 909.7 million, the statement revealed

The insurance firm’s subsidiaries registered EGP 10.4 billion total revenues and EGP 1.594 billion for the same fiscal year, higher 10.4% and 13.63% correspondingly as compared to a year earlier.

Misr Insurance investments grew 5% to EGP 35.262 billion, while issued premiums saw a 7.4% rise.

Shareholders approved increasing cash dividend distribution by 16% to EGP 578 million, which is the highest payout since the company’s establishment, the statement highlighted.
