Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse saw a positive performance on Thursday, backed by the rise of banks and investment stocks.

The main index rose 0.31% or 3.61 points to reach 1,177.72 points.

The commercial banks topped gainers after adding 0.47% as Bahrain Islamic Bank and Ahli United Bank (AUB) increased 1.74% and 1.67% respectively.

The services sector went up 0.47% as Bahrain Telecommunications (Batelco) and Bahrain Duty Free Shop Complex Co. rose 1.46% and 1.28% respectively.

The investment sector advanced 0.04% after Bahrain Commercial Facilities went up 0.77%.

Trading volume reached 801,690 shares on Thursday, compared to 3.16 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover stood at BHD 263,410, compared to BHD 752,650.
