Kuwait indices up at open

Kuwait – Mubasher: The Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) opened Wednesday’s trading in green, backed by a collective rise in its indices.

By 9:42am Kuwait time, the price index leapt 0.22% or 12.5 points to the level of 5,577.2 points, the weighted index advanced 0.3% and the Kuwait-15 index grew 0.5%.

Trading volume reached 50.6 million shares exchanged at KWD 6.02 million through 1,080 transactions.

The real estate sector levelled up 0.91%, supported by an increase of 6.25% in Munshaat Real Estate Projects.

The industrial sector rose 0.33%, the telecom and banks sector ascended 0.24% and 0.07% respectively.

Meanwhile, the services sector declined 0.11% as 10 of its shares opened in red, topped by Amwal International Investment with a 10% fall; worst performing stock.

Safat Global Holding led the green list by adding 7.69% to 28 fils.

Sokouk Holding made the biggest trading volume activity with a volume of 7.33 million shares, while Zain made the highest turnover of KWD 1.14 million.
