Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Aramco seeks in cooperation with its partners to produce 9.5 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy by 2023, said Abdulkarim Alghamdi, Manager of Facilities Planning Department.

The program will be implemented under the umbrella of the new “King Salman Renewable Energy Initiative” with legal and regulatory frameworks for the deployment of renewable energy and the involvement of the private sector to be established.

In 2012, the world’s top oil exporter said it would install 17 gigawatts of nuclear power by 2032 as well as around 41 GW of solar capacity.
