Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) witnessed gains in Sunday’s early trades.

The general index gained 0.11% or 6.46 points to reach 5,674.04 points by 10:35am Muscat time.

The financial sector topped gainers with 0.18% rise, backed by Gulf Investment Services Holding (GISI) and Bank Nizwa which advanced 2.63% and 1.23% respectively.

Gulf Investment Services was the best performer after adding 2.63%, while Bank Nizwa was the most active stock after trading 1.45 million shares worth OMR 119,020.

The industrial sector went up 0.1% as Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles increased 1.19%. The services sector also rose 0.04% after Oman Investment and Finance levelled up 0.48%.

Turnover reached OMR 275.94 million after trading 2.33 million shares through 104 transactions during the same time.
