Cairo – Mubasher: Qalaa Holdings said it initiated preliminary discussions with several prospective local and international investors to sell its stake in Rift Valley Railways (RVR), the national railway of Kenya and Uganda.

The African leader in energy and infrastructure said it didn’t reach an official agreement or offer yet, according to an official press statement.

Qalaa's indirect ownership in RVR stands at 73.76% and the company has been classified as a discontinued operation on Qalaa’s financial statements since the first quarter of 2016.
