Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index rose at Sunday’s close by 0.30% or 32.56 points to the level of 10,742.03 points.

Turnover reached QAR 199.55 million as 6.81 million shares were exchanged, compared to 7.91 million shares exchanged on Thursday at QAR 183.19 million.

The real estate sector grew 0.66% due to an increase of 1.03% in Ezdan and 0.15% in Barwa Real Estate. The industrial sector advanced 0.53% as Aamal rose 4.3%.

Meanwhile, the insurance sector declined 1.26%, dragged by a 9.1% fall in Qatar General Insurance, the worst performing stock.

The telecom sector shrank 0.25% as Ooredoo declined 0.38%, while Vodafone Qatar rose 0.42%.

Mannai Corp topped the green list after adding 4.8%.

Aamal was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 1.44 million shares, while Industries Qatar made the highest turnover of QAR 17.41 million.
