Mubasher: The GCC stock markets are expected to continue their sideways declining performance on Tuesday, with investors focusing on medium and small shares, analysts told Mubasher.

The general performance across the GCC stocks was deeply affected by the decline of the Saudi market, pushing investors to heavily purchase small caps and liquidate the blue chips, capital market Nawaf Al-Ajami said.

The direction of shares this week will be affected by the GCC banks which are currently disclosing their financial statements, headed by Saudi banks, capital market analyst Hamed Al-Anqari said.

The majority of local portfolio investments are focusing on purchasing some of the Gulf shares which have reached attractive prices, the analyst noted.
