Kuwait - Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Tuesday’s trading session with grouped rise.

The price index rose by 1.24% or 77.12 points to close at 6,301.12 points; the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 2.36% and 3.03% respectively.

The banks sector topped the gainers with 3.33%, in line with the 4.5% growth of NBK; the telecom segment gained 2.43% on the back of Zain which rose by 3.33%.

Liquidity amounted to KWD 75.74 million after trading volume reached 700.84 million shares.

Some shares have reached good prices in line with the rapid speculations, pushing portfolio investors to create new positions, capital market analyst Nyef Al-Ajamy said.

The analyst clarified that the increasing turnover reflects the investors’ tendency to purchase blue chips which saw active trading during the last hour of trading.
