Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) finished Sunday’s trading session on a mixed note.

The main index EGX30 declined 0.7% or 84.7 points to 12,722.08 points.

National sales dragged EGX30 lower after registering a EGP 119.98 million, while Arabs and foreigners were net buyers by EGP 44.7 million and EGP 75.3 million, respectively.

However, the largest EGX30 constituent rose 0.24% to EGP 76 with a turnover of EGP 50.7 million.

Likewise, the equal-weighted index EGX50 fell 0.7% to 1,937.2 points.

Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 rose 0.5% to 642.6 points and the broader index ended 0.4% higher to 1,131.9 points.

Market capitalization decreased by EGP 795 million to close at EGP 611.7 billion.

Trading value stood at EGP 997.3 million after 291.2 million shares were traded.

EFG-Hermes was the most active stock in terms of values with EGP 104.2 million. The stock quote stood at EGP 26.34, 0.3% lower.
