Doha – Mubasher: Doha Bank earned QAR 34.78 million ($9.55 million), lower 83.6 year-on-year from QAR 211.53 million ($58.06 million), said the bank in a bourse filing on Monday.

On an annual basis, net profit declined 22.2% in 2016 to stand at QAR 1.054 billion, compared with QAR 1.354 billion registered a year earlier.  

Earnings per share ticked QAR 3.23 in 2016 against QAR 3 last year, the statement revealed.

The board of directors recommended distributing 30% of capital or QAR 3 per share as cash dividends for the fiscal year 2016.

The bank operates with QAR 2.584 billion, divided into 258.4 million shares at QAR 10 each.
