Dubai - Mubasher: The real estate sector in Dubai is expected to recover in the second half of 2017, said Maria Morris, partner in Knight Frank Global Real Estate Consultants.

Morris added in a press conference in Dubai on Monday, that the real estate sector in the UAE will continue to be attractive for investors from the gulf area as well as other countries, such as the UK.

Despite the increasing appeal of Dubai properties to foreign investors due to lower prices, the majority of Arab and local still prefer to invest in the region.

Morris justified her optimistic views on the growth of real estate sales in Dubai 2016 even from investors from countries which currencies fell against the Dirham such as the UK.

Many international investors prefer to own properties in Dubai to limit risks and diversify investments, Morris noted, adding that there are many factors that help the emirate keep its position such as tax exemptions.
