Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Etihad Aviation Group, Etihad Airways' parent company, announced that James Hogan will resign from his position as the President and CEO in the second half of 2017, according to a statement.

The CEO’s resignation is part of the transition process last year with the formation in May of the Etihad Aviation Group.

Hogan will join an investment firm along with the group's CFO James Rigney, who will leave the company later 2017.

The group has minority equity investments in key strategic partners like airberlin and Alitalia.

“The group has developed a senior management structure with strength in depth, led by a highly-regarded senior team, the statement said, adding that “a further strengthening of the Group structure was announced earlier this month with the creation of Etihad Airport Services led by Managing Director Chris Youlten”.
