Dubai - Mubasher: The executive regulations of the Value Added Tax (VAT) law will be issued within the next week, said the Egyptian deputy finance minister for tax policies, Amr Al-Mounir.

Al-Mounir also told Mubasher on Sunday, on the sidelines of the second Arab Fiscal Forum in Dubai, that the regulations are being reviewed by the state council.

Returns from VAT surged 211% in January to EGP 211 billion compared to EGP 9 billion in January 2016, Al-Mounir indicated.

Today, the second annual Arab Fiscal Forum is held in Dubai, and it is organized by the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to discuss revenue diversification in the Arab World, its challenges and opportunities.
