Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi National Water Company (NWC) said that the total number of implemented projects in 2016 reached 48 at a total value of SAR 5.2 billion ($1.39 billion).

The 48 projects were implemented in the water and sewage sectors in its four affiliated cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, and Taif.

The company injected more than SAR 3.66 billion into water projects in the four cities, while the cost of sewage projects amounted to SAR 1.64 billion, according to a statement.

The NWC noted that it has established a strategy for 2017 projects, especially in the infrastructure of water and sewage projects in the four cities, to meet the current demand on the services provided to customers.

This year's projects will include the implementation of strategic water tanks in Riyadh and Makkah with a total value of more than SAR 2 billion.
