Riyadh - Mubasher: Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) has announced that as per the unified licence awarded to it by the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), the firm can provide all licensed telecommunication services including fixed line voice services and fixed internet for SAR 5 million.

On Tuesday, the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) announced that it has issued a unified licence to Mobily to provide all telecommunication services, and granted it to the company after recently meeting all of the requirements.

The unified licence is valid until 21 October, 2043, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.

Mobily believes that the licence will have a positive impact on its business, as it will improve its competitive positioning and allow it to provide convergent offers, the statement said.

According to the CITC, the unified licence encourages providers to raise the quality of their services, allows better and stronger competition, and increases subscriber options by enhancing network efficiency and reducing costs through providing a number of solution services by a single provider.
