Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 0.98% to reach 10,925.40 points by the week which ended on 23 February, as compared to 10,819.30 points by the week that ended on 16 February.
Liquidity increased by 55.3% to total QAR 2.08 billion this week from QAR 1.339 billion, as trading volume grew by 55.9% to 56.6 million shares from 36.3 million in the past week.
Market capitalisation gained 1.6% to total QAR 588.82 billion from QAR 579.4 billion a week ago.
The banks sector topped gainers with 25.7%, followed by the real estate segment which grew 19.12%.
The services and consumer goods sector rose 16.21% each, while the industrial sector levelled up 14.83%.
Medicare Group was the winner this week with a growth of 18.95%, while Qatar Insurance led the losers with 13.53%.
Barwa acquired 9.41% of the overall liquidity of the market during this week.
