Mubasher: The main index of Boursa Kuwait lost 0.22% or 14.71 points to reach 6,809.78 points by the week ended 23 February from 6,809.78 points by the week ended 16 February.

Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated by 0.38% or 1.62 points and 0.33% or 3.23 points respectively.

Turnover shrank by 35% to KWD 183.86 million from KWD 282.85 million in the previous week, as trading volume decreased by 35.95% to total 1.82 billion shares from 2.85 billion a week ago.

Transactions decreased by 28.31% to about 38,320 from around 53,454.

Market cap lost 0.37% or KWD 11 million ($35.95 million) to total KWD 29.32 billion ($95.78 billion) from KWD 29.43 billion ($96.14 billion) in the prior week.
