ADX rises on FGB in Sunday’s early trades

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Sunday’s trading session in the green zone, backed by the rise of First Gulf Bank (FGB).

The general index rose 0.41% or 6.92 points to 4,660.31 points by 9:04am UAE time.

The banks sector went up 0.44% as FGB increased 0.7%. The real estate sector also climbed 0.24% after RAK Properties jumped 1.3%.

On the other hand, the energy sector fell 1.73% as Dana Gas retreated 2.22%.

The telecom sector also sank 0.7% after Etisalat decreased 0.7%.

Turnover amounted to AED 39.04 million after trading 34.59 million shares through 368 transactions.

Eshraq Properties, which rose 0.8%, was the value leader after generating AED 9.86 million.
