Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a negative performance in Sunday’s early trades, weighed down by the fall of transportation and real estate stocks.

The general index fell 0.28% or 32.74 points to reach 10,892.66 points by 10:10am Qatar time.

The transportation sector decreased 2.17% as Qatar Navigation and Qatar Gas Transport Co sank 5.54% and 0.63%, respectively.

The real estate sector slid 0.60% after Barwa Real Estate and Ezdan Holding Group levelled down 1.33% and 0.31%, respectively.

On the other hand, the banks sector was the only loser with a 0.26% decline as Qatar Oman Investment Co sank 2.14%.

The market saw trading of 800,400 shares through 449 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 56.3 million.

Qatar National Bank (QNB) was the most active stock with a trading volume of 180,600 shares, generating QAR 28.1 million.
