Doha – Mubasher: Ahli Bank has completed a further $500 million worth of fundraising under its $1.5 billion EMTN programme in international debt capital markets.
The 5-year bond carries a coupon rate of 3.50%, according to a statement.
“Over 170 leading institutions participated in the fundraising which was four times oversubscribed,” according to chairman and managing director Sheikh Faisal Bin AbdulAziz Bin Jassem Al-Thani.
“We had great support from our joint lead manager / bookrunner banks namely Bank ABC, Barclays, HSBC, Mizuho, QNB Capital, and Standard Chartered Bank,” Al-Thani added.
Moody’s assigned an A2 credit rating to the new bond issuance with a "stable" outlook.
