Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Trade said that exports to Canada grew 35% in 2016, resulting in a trade surplus of $529.5 million.
Egyptian exports to Canada totaled $780 million last year compared to $580 million in 2015, the ministry added in a statement on Sunday.
On the other hand, imports from Canada decreased by 25% to $250.5 million last year from $334.7 million in 2015.
The statement also indicated that exports to Canada flourished in 2016, including the export of oranges which surged 500%, as well as molasses which increased by 240%.
