EGX up 0.24% at close on Arab, foreign sales

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading with a rise of 0.24% or 29.35 points to the level of 12,269.88 points.

On the other hand, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices fell by 0.02%, 0.11%, and 0.01%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 152 million shares, while turnover amounted to EGP 543.7 million.

Market capitalisation rose EGP 932 million to EGP 601.23 million.

Net purchases by local investors reached EGP 22.3 million, while net sales amounted to EGP 21.4 million by Arab investors and EGP 909,000 by foreign traders.

Egyptian Iron and Steel rose 9.41%, Delta for Construction and Rebuilding ascended 3.38%, and Egyptian Resorts grew 2.75%.

Meanwhile, Arab Cotton Ginning fell 7.95%, Domty declined 3.69%, and AMOC shrank 3.64%.

The Commercial International Bank - Egypt dropped 0.79% to EGP 73.11.

The EGX30 declined on Thursday by 1.29% or 160.5 points to the level of 12,240.5 points.
