Qatar index down 0.27% in early trade

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined at Monday’s open by 0.27% or 29.09 points to the level of 10,907.98 points.

The index was pressured by a fall of 1.45% in Ezdan, 0.36% in QNB, and 0.08% in Qatar Industries.

Trading volume reached 1.6 million shares exchanged at QAR 65.6 million through 876 transactions.

Five sectors fell at open, topped by the real estate sector (-1.06%), as the banking sector shrank 0.21%, and Qatar Oman Investment dropped 2.08%.

On the other hand, the transportation and industrial sectors grew 0.17% and 0.16%, respectively.

Islamic Holding, up 0.74%, led the trading activity with a volume of 295,900 shares exchanged at QAR 20.3 million.

Out of 31 traded companies, 17 stocks fell, 12 others rose, and the remaining two were flat.
