Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday’s trading session down 0.22% or 12.6 points, and closed at the level of 5,820.96 points.

The financial sector fell 0.33% as Al Batinah Development and Investment and Oman and Emirates declined 2% and 1.96%, respectively.

On the other hand, the industrial sector levelled up 0.07% on the back of Oman Textile, which led the session’s gainers and surged 9.96%, while Galfar Engineering was the biggest decliner and lost 2.11%.

The services sector index also added 0.02% as Phoenix Power gained 0.7%.

Traded volumes decreased to 15.61 million shares from 16.11 million shares on Sunday. Similarly, turnovers declined to OMR 27.75 million compared to OMR 4.59 million in the last session.
