EGX30 down 2% at close on foreign, Arab sales

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session falling by 2% or 245.9 points to the level of 12,023.93 points.

Similarly, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices fell 1.48%, 1.33%, and 2.08%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 196.9 million shares, as turnover amounted to EGP 877.2 million.

Net sales by Arab and foreign investors reached EGP 15.5 million and EGP 54.7 million respectively, while local investors were net purchasers by EGP 70.24 million.

Ghabbour Auto declined 8.62%, Arab Cotton Ginning fell 8.57%, Arabian Cement dropped 8.49%, and Madinet Nasr Housing shrank 7.1%.

Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) decreased 2.49% to EGP 71.8.

The EGX30 index rose on Sunday by 0.24% or 39.35 points to the level of 12,269.88 points.
