Cairo - Mubasher: The chairman of the Russian Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, Konstantin Kosachev, said on Sunday that Russia and Egypt have agreed to finalise 17 intergovernmental agreements, according to Sputnik news agency.

Kosachev did not reveal more details regarding the agreements in his remarks to reporters at the end of the Russian Upper House delegation visit to Cairo.

The Egyptian minister of trade and industry had previously said that an agreement will be signed in May for the construction of a Russian industrial zone in Egypt, with investments of nearly $22 billion, according to Russian officials.

Russia ranks 47th in countries investing in Egypt.
