Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's King Salman said that the Kingdom will “look into” Japan's prime minister Shinzo Abe’s request of listing Saudi Aramco's shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), according to Reuters on Monday.

The King added that his country will consider the request as he wants Japanese investors to buy Aramco shares, Reuters quoted Japan's deputy chief cabinet secretary Kotaro Nogami telling reporters.

Saudi Arabia seeks to list 5% of Aramco’s shares on a number of international markets.

The governments of Japan and Saudi Arabia said that the oil giant and the TSE are discussing setting up a joint group to study the potential listing, as bourses in Asia and elsewhere attempt to win the $100 billion listing, the news agency reported.

The two governments added that they signed several economic cooperation agreements on Monday, the second day of King Salman's visit to Japan.
