EGX falls 0.53% at close on local sales

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) declined at Monday’s close by 0.53% to the level of 13,023.49 points.

Likewise, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices dropped 1.41%, 1.09%, and 0.31%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 422.8 million shares, as turnover amounted to EGP 1.8 billion.

Local investors were net sellers by EGP 23.1 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 15.7 million and EGP 7.4 million.

Heavyweight Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) retreated 1.45% to EGP 77.5 after executing a sale deal worth EGP 710.15 on part of the bank’s ownership in CI Capital.
