Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance on Wednesday, weighed down by the fall of Dana Gas and Aldar Properties.

The general index fell 0.69% or 30.93 points to reach 4,481.89 points.

Investors’ sentiment was affected by the decline of oil prices below $50 per barrel, technical analyst Mohamed Saeed noted.

Trading volume reached 51.37 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 65.69 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover amounted to AED 138.02 million, compared to AED 188.62 million.

The energy sector declined 2.26% as Dana Gas and TAQA slid 2.27% and 2.22%, respectively.

The real estate sector retreated 0.87% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties lost 0.87% and 0.82%, respectively.

The banks sector levelled down 0.7% after Commercial Bank International (CBI) decreased 9.5%.

The telecom sector fell 0.55% after Etisalat went down 0.55%.

The DFMGI will fall to 4,350 points if it declines below 4,400 points, Saeed added.
