Mubasher: Analysts expected that global markets would continue in their fluctuating performance with a tendency to decline during the rest of the week, amid concern in Britain after the parliament incident.

"Five people were killed and about 40 injured in London on Wednesday after a car plowed into pedestrians and a suspected Islamist-inspired attacker stabbed a policeman close to Britain's parliament," Reuters reported.

The performance of the global markets was mixed, despite the increase of the geopolitical incidents.

Dow Jones Industrial and S&P closed Wednesday adding 0.03%, as NASDAQ inched up 0.19%.

Britain's FTSE fell 0.73% at Wednesday's close, while German DAX and French CAC shed 0.48% and 0.15%, respectively.

Investors are still divided regarding the economic axes of the European Union after the incident, adding to the elections seen in the continent which normally result in low liquidity, technical analyst Amr Zakarya told Mubasher.

Zakarya added that factors of greater impact on the markets include the disagreement between US President Donald Trump and the US Congress regarding the US healthcare bill.
