Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) rose 0.83% or 56.76 points to 6,889.06 points at Thursday's open.
By 10:52 KSA time, 32.8 million shares were exchanged at a value of SAR 635.5 million.
The materials sector hiked 10.72%, while the banks sector added 1.81%.
The telecom sector plunged 11.96%.
Etihad Atheeb led the worst performers and decreased 1.23%, while Nadec topped best performers and hiked 9.6%.
SABIC recorded the highest traded values of SAR 63.2 million; the stock added 0.42% to SAR 95.75.
Alinma Bank came second and registered SAR 48.8 million; the stock went up 0.62% to SAR 14.6.
Meanwhile, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market grew 0.45% to stand at 5,162.97 points.
Al Omran Industrial Trading led the gainer shares and increased 2.4% at SAR 32.3, with a traded value of SAR 3.2 million, by 10:56 KSA time.
