Dubai – Decypha: Nasdaq Dubai is highly interested in attracting local Egyptian companies to offer their shares for initial public offerings (IPO), the CEO of Nasdaq Dubai, Hamed Ali, reported Decypha.

Egypt is one of the important markets Nasdaq Dubai is targeting, as part of a progress started two years ago when Orascom was listed, Ali said on the sidelines of listing the shares of ENBD REIT on Nasdaq Dubai.

Negotiations are still in progress with both Egyptian government and companies to list their shares on Nasdaq Dubai, the CEO told Decypha.

It is worth highlighting that in November 2014, Nasdaq Dubai and Misr For Central Clearing, Depository & Registry signed a cooperation agreement, which allows dual listing on both the Egyptian Exchange and Nasdaq Dubai.
